Marissa Patsalou

Naturopath

Marissa is a Bachelor-qualified naturopath who developed a deep passion for naturopathic healthcare through her own decades-long battle with chronic health issues. This combined with her extensive training means she truly understands the complex interaction between different body systems, the power of good nutrition and lifestyle habits, and the importance of a root-cause approach.

Whilst she works with a diverse variety of health concerns, Marissa has developed a special interest for all things women’s health including vaginal infections like thrush and bacterial vaginosis, recurrent urinary tract infections, menstrual irregularities like painful, heavy, or absent periods, PCOS, PMS, and PMDD. Additionally, she has a keen interest in gut health, mental and emotional health, hormones, and is deeply passionate about cultivating positive relationships with food and our bodies.

Marissa is dedicated to identifying the root-cause of your symptoms, so that you don’t just get short term support, but achieve long-lasting relief. Patient education and empowerment is at the forefront of her clinical approach, and she prides herself on creating a warm, empathetic, non-judgemental space for patients. Consultations with her involve taking a deep dive into your health history and current concerns, interpreting pathology and functional testing, and the use of herbal and nutritional medicines in tandem with lifestyle recommendations.

Marissa has been personally mentored by our founder and head naturopath Katherine Maslen and is also the back up support naturopath for Katherine’s clients. She is a dedicated and supportive person to have on your health team. She supports patients with naturopathic consultations in Brisbane and also worldwide virtually.
