Polly brings over 12 years of clinical naturopathic experience to The Shift Clinic, spanning private practice, multi-modality clinics, retreat settings, and telehealth.
Her approach reflects a philosophy central to how we practice here at Shift – honouring the traditions of naturopathic medicine while grounding every treatment decision in clinical biochemistry and current research.
Polly holds an Advanced Diploma of Naturopathy from Nature Care College, Sydney, and is currently undertaking a Masters of Advanced Naturopathic Medicine at Southern Cross University.
Across her career, Polly has worked with patients presenting complex, interconnected health concerns, including hormonal and metabolic dysfunction, thyroid disorders, gastrointestinal and immune dysregulation, mood disorders, neurodevelopmental concerns, and dermatological conditions such as psoriasis and eczema. She takes a landscape and systems based approach to case taking, interpreting pathology and functional testing to build a full picture of what’s driving a patient’s symptoms rather than treating them in isolation.
Like all of our naturopaths, Polly prescribes high quality practitioner only formulations from trusted Australian dispensaries and develops individualised treatment plans combining herbal medicine, nutraceuticals, and dietary and lifestyle intervention.
Her background also includes five years as a columnist for MiNDFOOD Magazine, translating complex pathophysiology into accessible, evidence-informed guidance on food as medicine, and she has spent time working in distribution, gaining a deeper understanding of what a quality medicine entails.
Patients working with Polly can expect thorough case taking, clear explanations of the reasoning behind her recommendations, and a treatment plan built around root causes rather than symptom suppression. Polly is hand picked and further trained by our founder Katherine Maslen in the Shift methodology and she is a wonderful asset to our team.
